Vertical was founded in 1984 under the aegis of Francital, a recognized specialist outdoor workwear company (its designs include Chainsaw Safety trousers). Passing on its expertise in technical clothing into the Mountaineering range made Vertical an instantly legitimate recognized brand. In 2010, OutdoorLab took over Vertical. Thanks to this harmony, Vertical increased its expertise and its dynamism. Today, Vertical still develops, designs and manufactures outdoor clothing and equipment as it has done for over 30 years, known for its quality, comfort, practicality and technology. The brand is recognized by mountaineers, climbers and hikers. Today, Vertical is still innovating. After a stint in the Rossignol Group from 2016 to 2020, RaidLight Vertical resumed their independence.
